In March 2021, Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced a list of 55 research and learning travel practice bases (Geosciences) in Sichuan Province. Three scenic areas of Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark, namely, Zigong Dinosaur Museum, Shenhai Well, Zigong Salt Industry History Museum were selected.
