During 23rd-26th, August, 2012, the 27th annual meeting of the Geological Society of China was held in Zhangye, Gansu Province, P.R.China. Delegations from Zigong Global Geopark attended this meeting, shared the lastest research results of the geological tourism and geological park construction with other participants, discussed tourism development strategy and how to build and manage a geopark. Besides, the committeeorgnized one day field trip of Zhangye Geopark to investigate its construction progress.
