Zigong Hosts Global Forum on Fossil Research and Conservation

From November 28 to 29, 2025, the "International Academic Exchange on Paleontological Fossil Research, Conservation, and Utilization" was successfully held in Zigong, Sichuan Province.

The event convened geologists, paleontologists, and geopark managers from over 10 countries, including Russia, the United States, Thailand, and Romania. They joined forces with representatives from Chinese research institutions, museums, and geoparks to engage in in-depth discussions focused on the conservation strategies and sustainable utilization of paleontological fossils.

This gathering not only deepened international scientific cooperation but also provided valuable 'Zigong insights' for the protection and revitalization of global geological heritage.
