On the morning of March 9, the management center of Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark organized Paleontologists to review the "Technical Implementation Plan for the Investigation and Research of Paleontological Fossils and Occurring Stratigraphic Systems in Qinglongshan of Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark".
Qinglongshan Dinosaur Fossil Site is located in Qinglongshan, Fuxin, Rongxian and lies in the northwest wing of Weiyuan Anticline in geologic structure and the bottom of the Middle Jurassic Lower Shaximiao Formation. It is about 40 m away from the underlying Longjing sandstone. This site has a wide distribution with fossils concentrated, overlapped in sequence. Many fossils are scattered around, most of which are bones of sauropod dinosaurs, and some are teeth fossils of carnosaurs and plesiosaurs. It is a typical fossils site of embedding in foreign land.

The review meeting was held to further investigate and research Qinglongshan Dinosaur Fossil Site, in order to strengthen the protection and utilization of important geological sites and enhance the influence of the park.
