Following the concept of UNESCO global geoparks to share experiences, exchange opinions, and carry out cooperation projects within the scope of the GGN, Zigong seeks cooperation on a global scale, and recently added the sister geopark in Europe, Maestrazgo Cultural Park in Spain.
Maestrazgo Cultural Park is famous for its extensive distribution of dinosaur footprint fossils. In order to protect these precious geological relics, not only the main museum of Teruel was established, but also a series of satellite museums have been built around it. The distribution of dinosaur resources in Zigong UGGp is similar to that of Maestrazgo, and it also has the characteristics of being wide and scattered.
