Invited by the Administrator Office of Zigong UGGp, Dr. Luis Alcalá, paleontologist and the gerente director of Fundación Conjunto Paleontológico de Teruel-Dinópolis in Spain, visited Zigong from November 6th to 10th to carry out exchanges and cooperation between Zigong Geopark and Maestrazgo Geopark.
The Maestrazgo Geopark of Spain is known for its dinosaur tracksites, which owns precious experience of tracksite conservation, paleontological and satellite museums building. On November 7th, Dr. Luis Alcaládelivered a special lecture on the Geoconservation of Dinosaur tracksites for staff of Zigong UGGp, which offering valuable knowledge for the tracksites protection in Zigong.
Dr. Luis Alcalávisited a serial of fossil sites in Zigong, proposed suggestion for the management body, in order to improve and sustain the geopark development.
