Based on the proposal of "encouraging UNESCO Global Geoparks to share experience, exchange views and carry out joint projects within the scope of Global Geoparks network" in IGGP Charter and Global Geopark Operation Guide, Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark sent its staff to Alashan Desert UNESCO Global Geopark in June 2017 to participate in and prepare for the inspection work of Alashan Geopark, and share the relevant experience of Zigong Geopark.
