During the holiday, the Geopark organized 30 teenagers for a themed activity – "Step into National Geological Heritage – Crossing Hundreds of Millions of Years".
At the Ziliujing Formation section, students observed and touched real rocks, learning about geological time and strata. At the Changshanling Petrified Wood site, they stood beside 100-million-year-old silicified wood and discovered how "trees turn into stone".
A nature instructor also demonstrated the classic geological toolkit and led the teens through a fun "Life Evolution Scroll" interactive game.
